Review: A Girl’s Guide to Life: The Truth on Growing Up, Being Real, and Making Your Teen Years Fabulous!

This is the reveiw that my 13 yr old daughter gave the book. The Katie Meier book I have just read was fantastic! It contains a lot of good infromation and I learned quite a bit. It had so much information about things that not every girl knows about. It has three main parts: Mind, Body, and Soul, and then under those chapters are smaller parts. Some of my favorite parts were; Going Online and the Digital You, Beauty, Fashion, Guys-What’s Up with Them, Family, Friends, Religion, and Who You’ll Chose to Be. I really enjoyed these chapters because they had some straight-forword facts. Such as in Going Online and the Digital You had facts about MySpace, Facebook, Texting, Sexting and stuff like that. It explains how you shouldn’t post or say certain things on social websites. It also explained how texting can be really fun, but how one person can turn a normal conversation into something that you never meant to get into. Or vice-versa. The chapter that some girls may enjoy is Sex and Sexuality. Especially if their parents are not very open with them. Or some girls may just enjoy learning about stuff that they didn’t know about.All-in-all this book was a wonderful read! I would recomend it to every girl in the “Tween” stage.
